Hand Made Ebony and Hand Etched Earrings from the Tuareg tribe, Nomads of the Sahara.
Made from a traditional Toureg Melange of Copper, Bronze and Silver and individual pieces of Hand Crafted Ebony.
Please note, the Ebony are individual pieces and differ in shade.

Tradditional engraving from the Berber people, the Tuareg/Touareg tribe.
Collected in the Sahara desert in West Africa where it was made and traded.

Tuareg artisans are nomads of the Sahara desert who use old and simple tools, using traditional tribal techniques and classic designs. Also called "Touareg Tribe" or the "Blue people" as they wear beautiful indigo fabric's and it can be seen in their leather work. Women inherit their mother’s jewelry, and when a woman marries, her husband gives her gifts of bracelets, rings and necklaces.

Etchings and lines inscribed on pieces can represent a journey and the desert, sand dunes , a river. Also crosses are directional and represent the four corners of the desert.

Unusual gift for someone and each piece is individually made.
They are in very good condition.
Personally purchased in the Sahara from a Tuareg Tribesman.

Average:

Earrings received were different than the one on the picture. Similiar but different: flat end on the picture, pointy end in reality. On top of that, the ones received have a bleaching spot on the black wood part... Yes, you did add an extra pair of earrings in the parcel (3rd model, pretty different this time, and slightly broken too). I imagined it was to compensate the "problem" but I would have appreciated to be contacted before shipping to be informed about it and make my own decision if I really wanted to keep my order. In the end, I won't wear any of them...
